EMIT Environmental Brokers (EMIT) is an Australian based origination, advisory and transaction services company operating in the emerging global carbon trading and renewable energy markets.

Formed in 2005, EMIT operates in both the regulated and voluntary carbon trading markets with an emphasis on developing market based solutions to assist clients manage their market exposure to this new commodity.

EMIT provides services in the Kyoto linked markets including the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Joint Implementation (JI), EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) and the non-Kyoto markets of the NSW Greenhouse Abatement Scheme and the voluntary carbon trading market.

With a focus on the underlying risks and opportunities, EMIT develops market strategies for business dealing in a range of carbon and renewable products including certified emission reductions (CERs), emission reduction units (ERUs), European allowances (EUAs), verified emission reductions (VERs), NSW Greenhouse Abatement Certificates (NGACs) and renewable energy certificates (RECs).
